As part of the day's activities HMAS ALBATROSS will be welcoming Air Day visitors onboard for a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of areas of the base not usually accessible to the public.
Visitors can hang out in the hangars or take a guided tour of the base on one of the 3 coaches in continual rotation of the airfield.
But it's not all hangars, helos and hardware, hounds will also be hard at work with the RAAF Military Working dogs literally jumping through hoops - burning ones at that - to keep crowds happy and the RAN Ships Safety Survivability School will be going through their paces demonstrating the skills and training required when facing emergencies such as onboard fires.
The Federation Guard and Royal Australian Navy Band will perform throughout the day and there'll be children's entertainment and a variety of tasty treats to ensure a fun, and feature-filled, day for the entire family.
